WATCH: MTG Accuses Trump Over Epstein Files in Escalating Political Rift

Former U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has accused President Donald Trump of betraying his campaign promises and shielding the release of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, escalating a growing political feud between the two former allies.

Speaking during a recent interview, Greene said she is “not backing down” from her push for full transparency on the Epstein case, arguing that Trump had positioned himself as a candidate committed to “draining the swamp” but later resisted efforts to fully release the documents.

“What is remarkable to me is that this administration, people that we voted for, demanding transparency… is the very man that fought to keep the Epstein files from being released,” Greene said.

Greene also pushed back against Trump’s earlier criticism of her, in which he labeled her a “traitor” over her support for a congressional effort to unseal the Epstein records.

The dispute centers on ongoing political pressure in Washington to release remaining Epstein case materials, an issue that has divided lawmakers across party lines and sparked renewed debate over transparency and accountability in federal investigations.

Supporters of Greene say her stance reflects a broader demand for openness, while critics argue the issue has become heavily politicized within both Republican and Democratic circles.

The White House has not issued a detailed response to Greene’s latest remarks.
