BREAKING: Newsom Declares State of Emergency as Toxic Chemical Tank Threatens Massive Explosion in Orange County

California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency in Orange County after a dangerously unstable chemical tank at a Garden Grove aerospace facility raised fears of a catastrophic explosion.

Authorities say more than 40,000 residents across multiple Southern California communities have already been evacuated as emergency crews battle to prevent disaster.

Officials revealed the overheating tank contains thousands of gallons of methyl methacrylate, a highly flammable industrial chemical used in plastics and aerospace manufacturing.

Fire commanders warned the tank could either explode or rupture, potentially releasing toxic chemicals into nearby neighborhoods and waterways.

Emergency teams have spent hours spraying water on the tank in an attempt to reduce rising internal temperatures, while hazardous materials experts from across the country work to find a solution.

Authorities described the situation as unprecedented and warned that failure of the tank could trigger a major environmental and public health disaster.

Evacuation zones now stretch across parts of Garden Grove, Anaheim, Cypress, Stanton, Westminster, and Buena Park.

Residents have been urged to leave immediately as officials continue monitoring the increasingly dangerous situation.
